Ceramic Pro offers four different levels of coating, their Sport, Bronze, Silver and Gold. APEX offers a fifth level of Ceramic Pro coating that we call our Platinum Level. Each level is made up of different products in the Ceramic Pro lineup, each takes a different length of time to complete, and as one would expect, each carries a different cost.
The Sport Level is a spay on coating that is applied to the exterior painted surfaces after washing the car and while it’s still wet. The Bronze Level is applied to a dry surface and consists of one layer of Light Top Coat coating. The Silver Level is also applied dry and consists of one layer of 9H Base Coat and then, twenty-four hours later, one layer of 9H Light Top Coat is applied over top of the initial base layer. The Gold Level is four layers of 9H Base Coat and one layer of 9H Light Top Coat. The APEX Platinum Level is eight layers of 9H Base Coat and then, twenty-four hours later, 2 layers of 9H Light Top Coat is applied, making a ten layered ceramic coating system.
These applications are applied to the painted surfaces of the automobile. Ceramic Pro coatings can be applied to just about every surface of the exterior and interior of your automobile. Ceramic Pro offers different variations of their coatings depending on the substrate they are being applied to. From glass to vinyl, from leather to PPF and more, there is a specifically designed Ceramic Pro coating for each application. While Ceramic Pro’s various levels of ceramic coating covers the basics, we at APEX know our customers and their automobiles are anything but basic. So rather than strictly adhere to Ceramic Pro’s guidelines on where to apply the coatings, we take a different approach. Since ceramic coatings are an ease of maintenance product, we believe they should be applied to everything on the outside of the vehicle that you will touch with your microfiber wash mitt or spray with your pressure washer while you are hand-washing your vehicle. We don’t believe in putting forth the recommended Ceramic Pro entry price only to ‘up-charge’ you for the things you’ll want anyway…such as the glass, exterior plastics, wheels, calipers, etc. We strongly believe that we’ve put together the best combination of ceramic coating packages, that when compared with our competitors, you’ll find much more value with us without the worry that something is not being coated.
Not only do we coat the painted surfaces, but we also coat all the glass (not just the front windshield), all the exterior plastics, all exterior brightwork and grills, exhaust tips (if the automobile has them), the wheels come off and we apply the coating to the full wheel (front, back and barrel), the brake caliper, rotor hats (not the contact patch) and all plastics in the wheel well arches! Finally we can also apply a ceramic coating to just about every surface on the interior of the car too, offering our APEX Interior Lite and APEX Interior Full packages. The complex nanotechnology used in the Ceramic Pro product range, allows the ceramic nanoparticles to fill the smallest pores in the paint making the coated surface shiny, smooth and extremely hydrophobic. Ceramic Pro dramatically lowers the surface tension preventing environmental contaminates from bonding to the surface. Water easily removes dirt from the surface by encapsulating it into water beads that rolls off the automobile, this is called the self-cleaning effect.
Ceramic Pro can be a one-time application when properly maintained. Once the Ceramic Pro has cured it can only be removed through abrasion like wet sanding, compounding and/or polishing. This puts Ceramic Pro in a category by itself, compared to sealants or waxes that degrade quickly with normal washing and can easily be stripped away with mild chemicals.

Ceramic coatings typically consist of two ingredients — the coating itself (the solids), and a carrier for the coating to ease application (the solvent). When the coating cures, the solvent evaporates, leaving only the solid content behind. This results in a thin coating, because part of the coating has evaporated. Nano-Resin Pro, however, is completely free of solvents. Because there is no solvent evaporating, the coating is thicker and therefore more durable.

Most ceramic coatings are based in a polymer nanoarchitecture. Nano-Resin Pro, however, is based in an elastomer nanoarchitecture. Elastomers, as opposed to conventional polymers, are more flexible and therefore able to “bounce back” when hit with an abrading force. At the microscopic level, glass surfaces are actually jagged and uneven, with tiny nooks and crannies that capture the water and dirt responsible for staining and etching. When applied to glass that’s properly prepped, Glass Serum Pro fills in these microscopic hills and valleys, leaving contaminants with nowhere to hide. After the surface has been properly prepped, machine buffed and the coating has cured then the glass will take on UV-inhibiting properties, as well as a lowered surface energy that allows for hydrophobicity. Once set, Glass Serum Pro is fully permanent and requires a machine buffer to remove.
